Who We Are
Edward Jnr and Maxine Danter represent the fifth generation of the Danter family active in the fairground industry, with our children already an important part of the business.
Edward Danter Snr still travels his Sizzler Twist and children’s attractions with us, whilst Edward Jnr’s brother’s Leigh and Craig provide their poplar white-knuckle rides at many of our fairs.
We believe it’s important to move with the times, but we never forget our past. Maxine’s great-grandfather, Percy Cole once toured the legendary Gondola Switchback, a beautiful, ornate roundabout that brought pleasure to thousands of fair-goers across the land.

As showmen, our job is also our lifestyle. It’s hard work, but we love what we do. One of the best things is meeting families around the country. Many have become friends over the years. During the season we support a variety of charity and community initiatives. At Ludlow May Fair, for example, our Dodgem track hosts a church service attracting hundreds of visitors and worshippers.
During the winter, we maintain our rides and attractions at our depot in Gloucester. They are then inspected by independent engineers and operated in accordance with HSG 175 Guidance for Safe Practice at Fairgrounds and Amusement Parks.
